Gourmet Farewell Feast: A Thanksgiving Spread | November 12 | 6.30 p.m. | $35

Chef Jennifer Burroway will be cooking up the entire Thanksgiving Spread from the final issue of Gourmet magazine. Paired with wines, 12 recipes will be served in our wine department. A great way to taste new recipes before you make them at home, this evening will also be a delicious opportunity to share remarkable Gourmet memories from throughout the years. Market to Market: A Trail & Two Markets | October 3 | $10

It's about time that word got out: we're seeing someone. And we have our first official date set for October 3: breakfast, a bike ride and ice cream with North Market. It's not an exclusive thing, of course. As a matter of fact, we'd both be delighted if you joined us.

A Very Ohio Summer: CSA Recipes, Week 12 (2009): Green Beans

It looks like it's time for green beans in Ohio, and we're ready. Below are some recipes for green beans, including one from Jen that helps you use all of your summer produce.

Tonight on The Veranda, we'll be doing Round Two of Beer Floats with Snowville Creamery. Stop by to try Harpoon Cider, Lakefront Pumpkin Ale, Lindemans Cassis Lambic and Southern Tier Jah-Va Stout paired up with ice cream made by Snowville Creamery. We'll also be pouring wine and sampling Mandy's Green Beans with Roasted Shallots & Tomatoes.

Canada Day Poutine | July 1 | 6.30 p.m. | $15 | R.S.V.P.

Join us on Canada Day for three courses of deliciousness, featuring Blue Jacket Dairy and the beloved dish from Quebec: Poutine. Fresh-cut french fries, fresh cheese curds and gravy come together in this dish adored by our neighbors to the north. Served with a salad topped with Blue Jacket Dairy's Dill Cheese Curds and a dessert of Lemon Quark and berries, this meal allows us to celebrate two things: Canada Day and a great local dairy. The meal is $15 per person and wine and Canadian beers will be available ala carte.

Kris' Picks: Beer Tasting | June 9 | 5.30 - 7.30 p.m. | $10 (IPA's & Pale Ales)

Our favorite Beer Chick (who happens to be one of the top 35 Women Beer Raters in the World), Kristine, will be presenting a selection of her favorite seasonal beers all summer long. Join us on The Veranda on June 9 for six pours, witty banter and a grand old time as you explore the world of beer with Kristine. No reservations required.

Our Annual Salmon Roast is quickly approaching. Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 23 from 11.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. and be prepared to join us in our parking lot. (If you've never been to The Hills Market before, we're located at 7860 Olentangy River Road in Columbus, at the bottom of the Worthington Hills and the top of the Olentangy Bike Path).

From Farm to Table with Wayward Seed Farm | May 14 | 6 - 8 p.m. | Free

How would you like to receive a share of fresh local fruits or vegetables every week, direct from Ohio's rich soil? Join us on The Veranda as we invite Wayward Seed Farm to explain the benefits of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). Learn how you can own a share (delivered weekly to The Hills Market on Wednesdays from 6.30 - 8.30 p.m.) at this informational gathering. You will also be able take part in a special asparagus tasting and try a microgreen salad, grown and harvested specifically for this event.

Our Veranda transforms into a wine bar on Friday nights this spring and summer, as we feature a new variety of wines each week. The wines are ala carte and available by the taste, glass or bottle. No reservations are required for these tastings. Stop by, meet some new people and try some new wines.

Pancake Breakfasts - Saturdays, May - October | 8.30 - 11 a.m.

Pancake Breakfasts are back. Kate will be serving up a stack of pancakes with sausage and coffee on The Veranda every Saturday from the beginning of May to the end of October for only $5. Make our Pancake Breakfasts a part of your Saturday morning routine this summer.

Rosé Tasting - May 6 | 4 - 8 p.m.

Join Wine Director Constance Begue as she features six of the best Rosés that Wine Trends has to offer this year. This tasting at the Wine Bar on The Veranda does not require reservations. $10 per person.
